Integrated management solution: Applications and Benefits

Distech Controls offers a complete modular solution for room cross-management of HVAC, lighting and sunblinds: IRC (Integrated Room Controller).
It is made of a Karno HVAC office controller, lighting and sunblind add-on modules: an all-in-one system which represents a single node on the network (only one product to set).

The IRC solution suits for buildings construction and renovation.

The IRC operates in stand alone mode or connected to an open and interoperable network (LonWorks or BACnet).

The benefits of a multi-discipline management solution are numerous:

• Simple, economic and quick installation:

IRC modules are installed in suspended ceilings, near lighting or sunblind devices or directly on the HVAC terminals, which reduces wiring costs (fewer cables).

• Energy consumptions can be reported separately:

Each module has its own power supply. That allows tracking HVAC consumptions independently of lighting or sunblind consumptions.

• Energy savings and comfort within buildings:

50-60%* saving on energy can be achieved by controlling lighting (dimming and presence detection).
