LonWorks integrated management solution: Karno Series

IRC-FCC drives several comfort parameters in a room depending on the occupancy mode, users and BMS orders: ventilation, temperature, lighting and sunblind control.

It integrates main HVAC functionalities and is specifically designed for fan coil applications, as FCC controllers (for more information about the FCC type controller, click here). It also manages lights and sunblinds, by linking add-on modules.

• On-Off or analog inputs with 1 auxiliary input (configurable for a window contact, change-over,
  • dew point or state return) and 1 direct RJ9 input (for connecting add-on modules and infrared or radio RJ9 accessories)
• 2 TRIAC outputs for 2 PWM valves
• 3 fan speed outputs (230 VAC)
• 1 electric heater output

IRC-SRC office controller integrates all the IRC-FCC functionalities: HVAC, lighting and sunblind management (by connecting add-on modules).

It is also equipped with a 0-10VDC input for the air quality management and two 0-10VDC outputs to drive valves and a variable speed ventilator (energy savings and noise comfort).

It has many features, with freely configurable inputs and outputs:

• LonWorks 2.0, latest generation FT5000 Neuron processor: eliminating LNS costs
• Up to 5 configurable inputs + 1 RJ9 direct input
• 2 configurable 0-10 VDC outputs for valves, air damper or variable speed drive
• 3-speed fan outputs (230VAC) or on-off air damper
• 2 PWM or 0-10 VDC valves outputs (depending on model)
• 1 electric heater output

Lighting add-on modules are dedicated to lighting control in an IRC solution.
Linked together with a digital RJ9-RJ11 cable ("plug and play" wiring), they can be connected either to an IRC-FCC or to an IRC-SRC office controller.
They can be used jointly with sunblind add-on modules for a multi-discipline management.

Several modules are available:

• IRC-B2L and IRC-B3L to control 2 or 3 lights groups in ON / OFF
• IRC-B2LG to control 2 light group in dimming (1-10 VDC)
• IRC-BDALI to control DALI ballasts (16 ballasts - 4 groups)
• IRC-B2L1S to drive 2 light groups and a sunblind in 230 VAC

As lighting add-on modules, sunblind add-on modules can be integrated into an IRC solution ("plug-and-play" wiring). They control sunblinds in 230VAC or 24VDC: up, down, rotation.

They can be used jointly with lighting add-on modules for a multi-discipline management.

Several modules are available:

• IRC-B2S and IRC-B3S to drive 2 to 3 sunblinds (230 VAC)
• IRC-B2S24 to drive 2 sunblinds in 24 VDC
• IRC-B2L1S to drive 2 light groups and 1 sunblind in 230 VAC

Connected to a CTR or to an IRC, the ITR module allows the connection of 4 receivers, multi sensors or push-button interfaces, for additional RJ9 inputs.

It can receive commands emitted by infrared or radio remote controls. The 4 room managers enable to send received commands.

Integrated in a BMS, it makes available sunblinds and HVAC data on the network (availabillity of variables). All RJ9 infrared or radio accessories are fully compatible with the ITR, directly connected to a digital RJ9 input.
